Cubase drag and drop to Current support

I’ve been going insane because you can’t drag and drop files from Cubase’s arrangement view/ timeline into Current’s sampler or granular engine.

From what I understand, this is because Cubase uses some format called XML for drag and drop which most VSTs don’t support.

I know that it should be Steinberg who changes their software and not you, but I’m finding Steinberg forum posts about this dating back to 2012 so I doubt they’ll do anything anytime soon.
